Where does the data come from?
Network Rail's Track Model, track centrelines and calibrated mileage, published as open data on the Rail Data Marketplace. LineRef builds it into a small file the app keeps on your phone, and checks every release against the mileposts first.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. Your ELR, mileage and track are worked out on the phone. Street maps need signal unless you download the area first (Map, Layers, Offline maps).
How accurate is it?
As accurate as your phone's GPS, typically within a few metres in the open; the app shows the GPS accuracy and the data's own accuracy at that spot. It is for reference only: physical markers and official documentation always take precedence.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up. Pro is tied to the Google account you bought it with.
How do I cancel Pro?
In the Google Play app: your profile picture, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions, LineRef. Cancel before the free month ends and you pay nothing.
I have a new phone. How do I get Pro back?
Sign in to Google Play with the same Google account, install LineRef, then open Pro in the app's menu and tap Restore purchases.
